The 2025 NFL Draft begins Thursday night from Lambeau Field in Green Bay. This year’s class features a strong group of quarterbacks, linemen, and skill players. The first few picks seem to be locked in, but things open up quickly after that. Bettors have plenty of markets to look at, and the lines are moving fast.
Cam Ward is almost certain to go No. 1 to the Titans. Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, and Will Campbell are also heavy favorites to round out the top four picks. After that, things get interesting with Ashton Jeanty, Mason Graham, and Tetairoa McMillan all in the mix for the top 10. Top Picks Preview – The Favorites Are Locked In
Miami quarterback Cam Ward is a -20000 favorite to be drafted first overall by the Tennessee Titans. This is one of the shortest odds in recent draft history, similar to last year’s top pick Caleb Williams. Ward is expected to be the first quarterback taken without much debate.
Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter is the favorite to go second overall to the Cleveland Browns. He’s also the favorite to be the first non-quarterback selected. Hunter is listed at -2000 to go No. 2, with Abdul Carter as the next closest at +700.
Abdul Carter, the edge rusher from Penn State, is the -800 favorite to be selected third by the New York Giants. He’s been in that spot for weeks and remains steady as draft day approaches. Will Campbell, an offensive lineman from LSU, is -500 to go fourth to the Patriots.
Mid-First Round Preview – Big Moves Could Shake Things Up
At pick No. 5, the Jaguars are now favored to select Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty. He is listed at -210 across several sportsbooks, moving past Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham. Jeanty is also -10000 to be the first running back selected.
The Las Vegas Raiders pick at No. 6. Jeanty is a close second choice to go here at +150, while Missouri tackle Armand Membou is the favorite at +135. Membou’s over/under draft position is 6.5, heavily juiced to the over.
Carolina is at No. 8, where linebacker Jalon Walker is favored at +145. He is also a strong bet to be the first linebacker drafted, with odds at -1600. Teams looking for edge rushers are expected to start making moves in this range.
Late First Round Preview – Positional Value Driving Bets
Shedeur Sanders, Colorado’s quarterback, has seen his odds swing a lot. He is no longer a favorite to go in the top 10 and is now a +500 underdog to be selected ninth. Many books are offering props on Sanders to go 15th or later, currently priced at -310.
Texas receiver Matthew Golden and Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan are the top wideouts on the board. McMillan is favored to be the first receiver drafted at -235. Tyler Warren is the top tight end and a strong -400 favorite to be the first one off the board.
Defensive line and edge rusher are the most popular positions in the second half of the first round. Multiple teams including the Ravens, Lions, and Eagles are expected to target that position. Total defensive linemen drafted in Round 1 is set at 8.5, with the under priced at +220.
PPH Betting Prediction
The top four picks are locked in with heavy odds. Cam Ward should go first, followed by Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, and Will Campbell. After that, the Jaguars’ pick at No. 5 is the first spot that could shake things up. Ashton Jeanty is now the favorite, but Graham and McMillan are also in the mix. The betting value may lie in picking players to go one or two spots earlier than expected.
Bettors should also watch the quarterback market. Over 2.5 QBs taken in Round 1 is now just -125, and there’s some sharp action on Shedeur Sanders and Jaxson Dart. WagerHome makes it easy to follow all the NFL Draft odds and become a Pay Per Head bookie. Check it out at WagerHome.com.
